  2. I believe America's role should be a pro-protest role. I think it is key for the U.S. to show it's support for the protestors. I don't think that we should intervene, unless a threat to Americans is shown. On the Russia and China front, I do think they challenge our power. It's common sense that American is the biggest kid on the play ground, but China , and Russia want to change that. Russia supports Syria due to huge sales (Tanks, Helicopters, and Rifles) and dislikes us. China just feels that the US is over reaching in its power. Like i always say, we should be evolved with the process, or we haven't learned a thing from WW2.

  3. I think America needs to supports the Syrian protesters. Intervention should only be considered if the international community can come to an agreement. The UN has to play a key role in this. Reports from Syria range from human rights abuse to mass murder. With UN backing no nation will have to take a unilateral response and the voice of the international community will be stronger . Russia and China are challenging U.S. power. Syria is a major receiver of Russian weapons, which profits them $4 billion. China has a completely non-interventionist foreign policy. I honestly think Russia and China's biggest fear is that the protests will spread to them and civil unrest will break out.

  4. I believe that America should help the Syrian Protesters but be careful not to get too involved without the backing of the UN. Although the majority of the UN want to help Syria, Russia and China are blocking any attempts to rectify the situation there. America should be careful as they help out Syria, less we be pulled into yet another war. I don't think that Russia is outlandishly challenging the United States (Western Power) but instead they are just fighting for what they view as a great source of income for their country. To me China seems to be purposefully finding any and every way possible to challenge Western Power. They are basically justifying mass murder because of "renewed interest in Damascus—the traditional terminus node of the ancient Silk Road". Russia is no better, they seem to support mass murder as they supply the Syrian Regime with countless ammunition to further their cause.

  5. I believe that the United States should not be involved in the internal affairs of foreign nations. Actions promote reactions (blowback). The Constitution doesn't authorize the United States to be the global policeman - we'd be aimlessly spending money overseas where that money could be used here.

  6. I am kind of in between. I think America should help to an extent but not get to involved because we shouldn't put our country at risk. But then again, honestly, we are all in the same world so we should be willing to help for the betterness of a global world. We should support and be here if necessary. I think that if there is a threat shown to the US, then we should intervene but if not we should continue on.

  7. I agree with Ashton, the US should support protesters, but should not directly intervene. China and Russia are not challenging US/Western power. We have other problems to worry about rather than being the "peace-keepers" of the world
