  1. This is so sad:( Okay so the quesiton was "how does the girls defiance define the word bravery?" To me, this is bravery because this girl KNEW that there would probably be consequences, and she knew the rules, that the Taliban didn't want girls to go to school, but she stood up for what she believed in, knowing that she could face serious punishment. I would never be able to do that, I would be too scared of what would happen, but she wasn't.

  2. This girl is one of the bravest young people in the world today and we need more people like her in the world. She spoke out about the problem in her town and coming from a child it is much different then coming from a grown activist. Children are honest and she has been honest with the problem and people of the Taliban thought she was wrong. If there are more people to speak out like she did, the world would be a much better place.

  3. This girl probably knew someone wanted her dead for what she was doing, but she continued to do it anyway. It was something she truly believed and felt very strongly about. I think she was brave because he really put her life on the line for this cause.

  4. This is crazy. I cant believe they would do that. But she showed bravery because she wasn't afraid to speak her mind even though she knew what could happen. She wanted her education and stood for what she believed. She is very brave to of gone against the rules when she knew the punishment. But she said she will stand for what she believes and no one can tell her otherwise. She had the right to speak her mind and to be able to go to school and get an education. They should not have punished her for this.
